Lunart offers five video models: Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini and MiniMax H3. They differ in maximum resolution, the inputs they accept and the price per second. The short version: draft with Seedance 2.0 Mini or Fast, render finals with Seedance 2.0 or 2.5, and use MiniMax H3 when you want 2K output.
The models at a glance
| Model | Resolutions | Credits per second | Longest clip | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.5 | 480p / 720p / 1080p | 20 / 40 / 100 | 30 s | Up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos and 10 audio clips |
| Seedance 2.0 | 480p / 720p / 1080p | 18 / 38 / 90 | 15 s | The 1080p workhorse |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 480p / 720p | 15 / 30 | 15 s | Lower cost, up to 720p |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 480p / 720p | 10 / 20 | 15 s | Lowest cost, up to 720p |
| MiniMax H3 | 768P / 2K | 20 / 32 | 15 s | The only 2K option |
All five accept a text prompt, a first/last frame, or image, video and audio references. In any one clip you use either frames or references, not both.
What a 5-second clip costs
Credits for one 5-second clip, without a reference video:
| Model | 480p | 720p | 768P | 1080p | 2K |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 50 | 100 | — | — | — |
| Seedance 2.0 Fast | 75 | 150 | — | — | — |
| Seedance 2.0 | 90 | 190 | — | 450 | — |
| Seedance 2.5 | 100 | 200 | — | 500 | — |
| MiniMax H3 | — | — | 100 | — | 160 |
The formula is simply the per-second rate times the length, so a 10-second clip costs twice as much. Attaching a reference video can add a charge for the reference clip's length; the pricing page lists both rates, and the composer shows the full total before you generate.
Which model to choose
Testing an idea or a motion. Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p is the cheapest way to see whether a prompt, a camera move or a first frame works. Fast costs a little more per second.
Final 1080p delivery. Seedance 2.0 is the slightly cheaper 1080p option. Seedance 2.5 costs a little more and adds the longest clips and the largest reference capacity.
Longer shots or heavy reference material. Seedance 2.5. One generation can run up to 30 seconds and draw on up to 30 images, 10 videos and 10 audio clips, which suits product demos, music-driven edits and scenes that must match existing footage.
2K output. MiniMax H3 is the only model with a 2K tier, and at 32 credits per second it costs less than either Seedance model at 1080p.
Animating a still image. Every model accepts a first frame, so choose by resolution and budget. Add a last frame if you want the clip to end on a specific image.
Three ways to start a video
- Text only. Describe the scene, the action, the camera movement and the sound.
- First/last frame. Upload a first frame, and optionally a last frame, and the model animates between them. On the canvas, select an image and choose Set as the first frame to use it directly.
- Omni reference. Mix images, videos (MP4 or MOV) and audio (MP3 or WAV). Type @ in the prompt to say what each reference is for, such as "the dancer in @Reference 1 performs the moves from the reference video".

A clip uses either frames or references, not both; the composer tells you if you combine them.
Generate a video, step by step
- Open a canvas and switch the composer to Video.
- Choose a model in Select model.
- Pick the method (text, first/last frame or omni reference) and add your materials.
- Write the prompt, then set the resolution under Quality, the duration and the aspect ratio.
- Check the credit total and click Generate.
Ways to save credits
- Lock down the motion at 480p or 720p before rendering at 1080p or 2K.
- Keep test clips short; length multiplies the price.
- Fix the first frame first. Generate it as an image with GPT Image 2.5 or Nano Banana, which is far cheaper than iterating in video.
- If a video fails, its credits are returned automatically, and a canceled video is refunded too.
To make your first clip, open Lunart, switch the composer to Video and start with Seedance 2.0 Mini.
